Do not - do NOT! - buy this product! (unless you keep your expectations low, have zero sensation in the areas you want to wax, and have a good dermatologist on hand). I have a very high pain tolerance, but this left me on my bathroom in tears. I followed the instructions to a T and even watched YouTube tutorials to make sure I did everything right. And yet, the entire experience was horrific! I’d read people had used this kit for at home Brazilian waxes. I figured I’d gotten enough of them from an aesthetician over the years that I could handle doing it on my own. Wrong, wrong, wrong! I can’t show pictures of my ‘lady region’, but let me tell you - it was left red, irritated, & burning with spots of blood as if I had nicked myself with a razor. I kept trying to just rip the wax off but it wouldn’t come up. I tried everything - applying a thick layer of wax, applying a thin layer, ripping it off within a 5 seconds of it drying, ripping it off after leaving it on for 30-60 seconds, applying it in small patches, applying it in bigger patches - but everything was rip was just a painful as the one before. After waiting a few hours to give my skin time to calm down, I tried using Dawn dish soap & warm water to get the wax bits that were left behind on my hair ‘down there’. I ended up having to use a combination of olive oil and WD40 to get the wax off. I also had to spend the rest of the evening sitting on an ice pack. Even though my attempt at Brazilian was a disaster, I was determined not to give up. I hadn’t shaved my legs in a while so I figured I’d give that a go. HUGE mistake! While the leg waxing wasn’t painful, it left so much hair behind along with A LOT of irritation. I don’t have sensitive skin, but this irritated my leg so badly that I needed steroid cream - yes Rx steroid cream from my dermatologist - to heal my skin. If you’re thinking a ordering this kit: DON’T! Stick with shaving or using a topical hair removal cream, or go see a licensed professional for waxing or go get laser hair removal! I have never written a negative review on any product (Amazon or otherwise), and this whole thing is incredibly embarrassing, but I want to save as many people as I can from buying this product!

Easy set up and instructions. Took me a while to get the hang of it. This is very beginner friendly. Glad I can save my money now instead of paying someone else to do it.

It works well, nothing too fancy but gets the job done

It’s pretty easy to get the warmer set up and to get the wax melted and then cooled to a good working temperature...for me 180 was about perfect for my legs...I used for my armpits on 160, but I was also waxing my daughter’s armpits too...I did mine first obviously to test out temperature and being that I have waxed or well attempted to wax my legs before with wax strips( the ones that you rub between your hands to warm up), the wax you microwave, and tried Nair...being that all of those options didn’t work well and were very painful with little to no result and actually a chemical burn from the Nair...I was going to be the guinea pig so to say...I will not say that this was completely pain free, but compared to previous methods it wasn’t bad at all. My daughter was thrilled at the fact that the hair won’t grow right back! She is 9 years old and I have been trimming her armpit hair down to essentially stubble every few days/week depending...I don’t feel she is ready for the responsibility of actually shaving yet. She said it wasn’t comfortable, but it wasn’t too bad either.

Now one thing that I did find was that I thought the hair was long enough, but in reality I don’t think it was...everything says for longer hairs to apply in the direction of hair growth...yea that wasn’t very effective at all...I tried it against the growth like for shorter hairs and saw much better results! My legs are pretty smooth, but there is still like a stubble feel to them where some of the hairs were too short to be removed...but once I get all the hair on the same growth pattern the results will be even better! There is some irritation almost like razor burn on my inner calf, as shown in the pictures...that is also the area where some hair grows this direction and some grows that direction and every which direction! I was also going over and over this section trying to get the stubble feeling to go away before it clicked that I can’t see the hair I am trying to remove...so it’s probably way to short for the wax to be able to grip...lol The pictures are from this morning and I finished waxing yesterday afternoon...

Order extra wax beads before beginning!!! Luckily I ordered another bag of wax beads because the little bags are great for doing your armpits, as one bag worked great for mine and my daughter’s armpits. When it came time to do my legs...WOW...I went through a LOT of them! Obviously I am still learning but I think I got pretty great results!

The best way I found to apply the wax was against the hair growth and then to flip the stick over and using the wax on the back side of the stick and smooth it back in the direction of hair growth...seemed to make sure when the wax cooled that it had a good grip on the hairs, and got more complete hair removal. Definitely make sure that you use the before and after sprays...with the before spray make sure that it soaks in good before you start waxing otherwise the wax will not stick to you and will literally just roll back onto the stick...lol

Being this was my first time waxing like this it took forever, but by the time I got to the second leg and had figured out a few things and it went a lot quicker! So set out a day to do this if you are brand new to self waxing like me...just so you don’t feel rushed!

The temperature control isn’t always correct. I have burned myself. I recommend using a low setting if you have sensitive skin like me.

Well it does what it’s supposed to do! Follow the instructions but definitely play with the temp and find what works for you.

      ***Update***

Okay so I’ve had this thing for several weeks now and despite being home and social distancing I have been using this every couple weeks. I’m no yeti or anything but thanks to my ancestry, I get a few stray hairs on the lip and chin and my eyebrows try to reinvent themselves more often than I’d like. Now when you go into the salon for the brow or lip wax they always manage to pull out that funhouse mirror that really accentuates those few errant chin hairs and they convince me to get that waxed too so Mmmm in one visit I usually end up spending as much for waxing as this little kit cost. HA HA!!!! Never again. I thought buying this would just ride me over until I felt comfortable going to the salon to get it done by them because I would suck so badly at this I’d never be able to fully commit. Well the first time I just tried my chin. There were few enough hairs there and not a change of straying off course and walking around missing half an eyebrow, so it was a safe starting point. The first try I had the wax cooled back off too much and tried to smear something akin to gum on my face. Tried again and it was just a tad thicker than it needed to be and saturated the cloth too much. Third time was just right and I got the pad in and adhered and whipped it off to super smooth perfection. A couple weeks later I did the chin flawlessly and decided it was time to upgrade to the lip. It was so easy and quick I decided I was ready to do between my eyebrows. That was almost perfectly executed. Finally, a couple weeks later I decided it was time to try the top of my brow line. It again took some practice and I learned the importance of making sure all my stay little whispy hairs around my hairline were properly restrained but I was able to get those picked out carefully and get a clean removal.

Now I’ve done this several times and have hardly put a dent in the wax that initially came with it. This kit paid for itself in one session. Granted eventually you’ll have to buy more wax and the cloth strips (I bought those from Amazon too and the stack is huge and going to last a long while) but unless I decided to do my legs as well every other week, I don’t think that’s going to be any time soon. Suffice to say I’m now so glad I made this purchase.

The first time I bought this wax pot, I had never waxed myself before. I'm so glad I chose this one out of all the ones on Amazon because it's very beginner friendly. The pre & after wax sprays are cooling and non irritating to the skin. I will share the steps I take:

      **Take Shower & Exfoliate**
**Put all sprays on rounds to apply**
      1. Use the included pre wax spray
      2. Cover the area in a thin layer of cornstarch
      3. Wax thick layers in the direction of hair growth
      4. Wax thin layers going against the hair growth
      5. Use the included after wax spray

      Optional--
      6. Use Coochie brand ingrown hair spray
      7. Apply pure Aloe Vera gel
      8. Use a good hair growth inhibitor

I usually have the heat somewhere between 180 - 200. 180 is good, but some days it's a little thick so I crank it up a notch. I always test on my wrist before I begin waxing. If you have sensitive skin like me, try to follow these steps and exfoliate every couple of days. You'll be golden and hair free for weeks.

This was my second time purchasing this lil wax pot and I LOVE it. The first one must have got some wax around the rim somehow because I couldn't get the lid off after a while😅 Still worked otherwise. I very much recommend. Don't get the other one with the digital dial=trust me.
